Planning your visit
- When to go: Visit Ras Al Khaimah recommends October to April. Even in summer, the mountain is noticeably cooler than the coast, so bring a layer.
- Book timed activities ahead: Jais Flight runs in scheduled slots. Book through the official Jebel Jais website (visitjebeljais.com) or a licensed tour agency.
- Check requirements for everyone in your group: height, weight, age and ID rules apply to each rider.
- Leave time for the drive: the mountain road is long and winding. We have not quoted drive times from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, because the official figures we found were not consistent with each other.
